This Christmas, I bought myself an early present and hopefully the joy of losing weight. Now, I’ve never been a person to read self-help books and I once borrowed The South Beach Diet book from a friend and sadly never read it but this time I find myself extremely interested in one book in particular.
The 22 Day Revolution is a plant based, vegan super charged (diet) book. I’m trying to stay away from the word diet because it’s more like a life choice than a diet. Now, for those who know me….. yes, it’s vegan. I’m a girl who loves her burgers and I would DIE for steak but that’s the problem; I might die for steak. My doctor would agree that I need to start making better choices and although I know in my heart I can never give up meat forever, I’m pretty sure I can give it up for 22 days and with the cold turkey (no pun intended) weeks figure out better ways to incorporate it into my daily eating habits.
I’m curious to know if anyone has tried it; had success or failed to continue. From what I’ve read, I’m mostly getting the stories of celebrities; like Beyoncé who has a forward in the book, or other’s who have caterer’s cooking their meals and nanny’s doing their grocery shopping.
I’m a real person and this is a real change. I want to be able to know that I can make it and be proud of those who already have.
Onward we go! I’ll try to keep you all posted on my journey.
