Book 3 of 35

Well, I’ll pat myself on the back for the great start to my Goodreads Challenge 2019.

It’s January 12 (my baby’s due date) and I’m already 3 books into my reading goal of 35 books!

On deck batting at #3 is The Wedding, by Nicholas Sparks.

After thirty years, Wilson Lewis is forced to face a painful truth: the romance has gone out of his marriage. His wife, Jane, has fallen out of love with him, and it is entirely his fault. Despite the shining example of his in-laws, Noah and Allie Calhoun, and their fifty-year love affair, Wilson himself is a man unable to express his true feelings. He has spent too little time at home and too much at the office, leaving the responsibility of raising their children to Jane. Now his daughter is about to marry, and his wife is thinking about leaving him. But if Wilson is sure of anything, it is this: His love for Jane has only grown over the years, and he will do everything he can to save their marriage. With the memories of Noah and Allie’s inspiring life together as his guide, he vows to find a way to make his wife fall in love with him…all over again.

From just looking at the book, it seems pretty short and I’m hopeful the story keeps me interested enough to finish rather quickly.

I look forward to diving in and seeing where it takes me.

Below is a look at the other two books I’ve finished this year so far!

Happy reading!

      1. Awesome! Even if it’s a small goal, I find it’s still fun. Lol thank you! I’m trying to read as many as I can early on, today’s my due date but my baby boy has decided he doesn’t want to come today. So the more I can finish before he gets here, the better!

      2. Oh then he is coming .. but letting his mama relax a bit before his arrival. I read so many books when I was pregnant with my son , it was summer and a heat wave and I was big lol so I just read with my feet up. Congrats on your little bundle that’s coming.
